Hi guys i was on my way home yesterday and my leganza decided to shoe that the oil needed filling, so I stopped and filled here up. About 2 minutes down the road the warning light came on again but this time engine started to make a rattling sound from under the hood. I stopped to have a look and there were no leaks underneath anywhere. I have been told I could have a faulty oil pump!
Has any one already had this problem? and if so any help would be great.
Iv only just put her through the MOT about 2 weeks ago as well.

Hi Haribo,
I have had a similar problem but mine happened after i had my headgasket done and the knocking was the bottom end bearings and the oil light is due to low oil pressure.

Mine also had this problem after the previous owner changed the head gasket (cambelt wore through plastic cover and probably broke so head would have had to come off to replace the valves). Obviously this was one fault too much for him/her and they p/exed or auctioned it off.
