Hi can anyone tell me where the oil pump is located on a 1999 leganza??
I had the AA diagnose a breakdown the other day as the oil pump being faulty as the oil warning light keeps coming on and once the engine has warmed up the engine expels a lot of smoke out the rear exhaust.
Any help needed.

The oil pump is incorperated in the alloy housing the oil filter screws on to.To remove the sump and timing belt have to be removed.

Don't touch that oil pump just yet! I had same problem with my Leganiza and it turned out to be two different faults - see under the "advice" sticky thread for how I fixed it.
