Hi could anybody tell me why i can not get AM stations .I can just about hear a station when the igniton is on but have a lot of interference and a loud clicking coming through the speekers. As soon as start the engine i lose any music and the loud clicking noise and just have the interference. I have tried putting in another radio as i thought the orignal radio was faulty but this is no better.

Had similar problem - eventually traced to aerial base above tailgate. This base (plastic triangular thing) has a printed circuit board inside it and if any damp gets in it will corrode. New base costs £72 ! plus fitting.
have you tried an inline antenna amplifier? Halfords £15.00 max takes a switched live feed (peeps use the electric arial wire) and connects between head unit & antenna cable
