Hi folks nice forum,
wonder if anyone can help me. I am looking at my brothers nexia 1.5 gli. It has stopped working.
Engine turns over fine. have replaced coil, Ht leads, Distributor cap, Distributor and plugs.
Am I missing something. Have tried to find a fuse for the main ignition but can't. - Have checked all the ones under the dash inside.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Immobilser! have you tried the spare key? No spare key? Put key in igntion & see if immobilser indicator lamp goes off.
peters had a similar problem on his nexia!

mmmm - now i feel like a complete horses rear end.
I THINK YOU COULD BE RIGHT.
thinking about it....... maybe we have only had problems since my brother went off to london with the original keys in his pocket and we have been trying to start it with a plain (no plastic fobbed) steel one. the original spare has been sheared off and just the plastic bit is left with no key coming out of it.
- Would this explain why the plastic fob taped to it - for getting the code or frequency when you need a new one????

Does the immobilisor icon look like an orange engine?
nop that would be your engine check light
cant place immobiliser indicator lamt in my minds eye! Sit in car & look for a flashing light that is not on stereo & that should be it!
You were right - pressed broken key fob against ignition barrel top as I cranked the engine and it started.
