Hi sidevon,
I have just bought an 06 Tacuma 1.6 sx and i get the same problem. But mine seems to be when its low on fuel so i thought it could be down to sludge/crap clogging the fuel pump/filter. Doesn't seem to happen when tank is full so jury is still out on that one. I used to own a Wreg Lanos 1.6 sx which the wife has just reminded me that we used to get the same problem with that. I had the lanos looked at and the mechanics at my local Chevrolet/Daewoo dealer just scratched their heads and could not sort it. Even after 2 new fuel pumps and filters, it was still the same. It eventually led to the fuel gauge completely failing and then numerous other probs. I have since found out that the 1.6 engine in the tacuma is exactly the same as was in the lanos,so apparently the Tacumas are sometimes susceptable to the same probs as the LAnos. I sincerely hope that is not the case. If i manage to find out what is causing our little stutter, i will let you know immediately.Likewise, if you find out before me, please let me know. It would be extremely interesting to know what is causing it.

Regards.
