Hi,
I have just had a full service and MOT at 26k miles (the car is 4 years old). The garage has recommended a new timing belt saying it needs replacing every 40k of 4 years....how urgent is this? i know if it goes it can cause a lot of engine damage. Also is £145 a resonable charge for this?

belt is due at 40k or 48 months. £145 is a good price againts £1000 plus for replacement engine when the belt let goes. Urgent or not question is do you want to risk it??????
