hey guys!
fatty's back with the bad news....
this is what i've tried so far..
taken plastic cover off around ignition, found a thin black ring that slides over the barrel with two wires that clip onto it, i presume that this is the coil thingy that bodie mentioned. all connections seem ok. i've checked connections on a box behind the plastic where the drivers legs are(thought to be the immobiliser, again, the connections seem ok. just under the steering wheel to the right, there is a small cover, behind which is a selection of fuses, all are fine, Also I was told to try disconnecting the battery for 12 hours to re-set the ecu, I've tried that too. I've checked for broken belts, icluding the cam belt behind the plasic cover and they are all good. I've checked all the plugs, all spark well, and when I turn the car over without a plug in, I can see and smell that there is petrol getting through, and still the car won't even fire!! got petrol, got spark, but won't fire....Hmmmmm.
I am well and truly baffled.
does anyone know If there is a fuel pump relay anywhere, also the location of the actual fuel pump itself, Also, where would my immobiliser light be on my dash, coz I can't find one anywhere!?!...and does anyone have anything else to try? pleeeeeaaaasssseeee!
On a very tight budget, so the obvious choise of a mechanic must be the very last resort for me:-< A very woo-less fatty.. cheers
