In march I bought my first car, an '03 Kalos 1.4. It had just 17,000 on the clock and I've put a couple of thousand on myself. It had not been serviced by it's second owner (well there are no records of any serivce) and the car was pulling to the left so I took it in and..... well it's cost a bit..... £632 to be eact. I would appreciate someone views on if I have been overcharged or charged for items that would seem unecassary.

(And yes I have learnt my lesson about cars without full service histories)

So

Engine Flush Treatment 12.50
Oil Filter 5.50
Engine Oil 28.00 (this seems steep I had put oil in myself...)
Air Filter 15.89
Fuel Filter 9.92
4 Spark Plugs 15.00
fuel system conditioner12.50

3 wipers 21
3 tyres ( I knew about this) 120
Timing Belt 26.00

Fitting / service labour: £200

Can anyone advise if this was a fair price/the type of thing you would expect for what is, in all probability, the first service in 4 years?

Thanks for your help
who serviced this for you and what explanation did they give you for the service items that have been fitted ie 30k service, 40k etc etc.

The service was done by a local garage who are part of the goodgaragescheme.com.

The timing belt they said needed doing after 4 years which checks out with the manual.
The spark plugs they replaced but have not said why
The tyres (well I was on racing slicks on the front)
The filters I guess needed replacing after 4 years
I don't know if an oil flush is worth while on a car worth £2,800???
As for the labour; is £200 fair?
40k = oil filter, spark plugs, timing belt, brake fluid, pollen filter,

30k + oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter, antifreeze,
