hello ppl, my first visit to the site and i come seeking knowledge!! i have an espero 1.5 glxi (97) about a week ago i was on the m-way and heard a snapping noise from the nearside wheel well. from then on a rattle developed, which got worse. at first i thought the shock had gone but this wasn`t the case, after speakin to a mechanic they suggested that the bottom ball joint had gone, so i replaced this. this has cured the rattle (mostly) it now only rattles going over bumps. but now when i get over about 35 mph the steering wheel shakes from side to side quite violently. does any one have a clue as to what i can do to cheer up my poor woo? all replies greatfully recieved. cheers ap.

hey, fanx 4 d advice, i eventually, after much time spent swearing, found that the retaining nut( the gold coloured one that holds the damper in the leg) had unscrewed itself from suspension strut, allowing my suspension leg to wobble like barbra windsors chest. still, am wiser ( and poorer) for the experiance lol. found the forum was a massive help eliminatin all the things it wasn`t, a little helps worth a lot of pitty as they say.
