The 6 as I recall is for manual and s is for auto. The mapping will be different and ecm will be looking for tcm..so in short no,do not waste your money...

Ah i see, i also just noticed that they have different pin assignments
My question now is can i put in another IEFI-6 even if the part no. is different?

BTW, i have also listed the serv nos. of all the ECM's in a surplus shop near my place. Would you know/have some reference document wherein i can check if they are IEFI-6 or IEFI-S, auto/manual, 1.5/1.8/2.0?

ecu chips are not interchangable i have been there and tried it and it dont work and the car wont start.
