does anyone know how to turn off the abs warning light on a tacuma. due for its mot and cant afford to get it fixed.
In a few words, cant be turned off!

under Brakes/Antilock brake system and see if you can work out what the problem might be
The car will fail it's mot if the abs light fails to illuminate on its self test cycle when you first put ignition on...It is part of the test to check its operation..
I was told many years ago if something is supposed to work and it doesnt, then its a fail (I used to have a Volvo that blew day running lights so I disconnected them) then it failed its MOT because of that.
Day light running lamps are not obligatory and as you most likely know can be bypassed. As long as you had side/dip & main lights working then you should have been ok ..

sorry but it needs sorting when regarding brakes as you cant put a price on not stopping.(worst case senario)
