Hi,
The fuel gauge is reading half full all the time. The warning light works fine but the gauge stays where it is.
Any help would be great as I am a new owner and not yet familiar with the vehicle.
many thanks,
Barrie

Hi,

I work at Chevrolet (formally Daewoo) and there is a technical bulletin to replace the fuel sender which is attached to the pump. They retail at £22.11+vat. Hope this helps.

Michael
Thanks Michael for the quick reply,
Is access to the pump and sender strait forward or does the tank have to be removed?
Regards
Barrie

I normall set the trip, the fuel gauge was never that linear, I could do 200 miles on half a tank, but only 120 on the other half!

Set the trip and fill up at 300!
I must have a heavy right foot!! Fill mine up at about 240miles
same here i get around 240.
once i put in £29 & went from heathrow to halifax, up north and back on it covering 397 miles!!!..it was into reserve when i was a few miles nearly home.
i kept it though at about 60mph there & back mostly.
woww.
Perhaps it's because I always fill up at about quarter of a tank? Could probably get another 40 miles out of it but I'm terrified of running out!!

Does anyone know how much is left in the tank when the red light comes on?

Less than you think. I once had the light come on and after about 15 miles turned onto the A420 to Bristol at Chippenham. Thought I would make it. 400 yards up the road I feel the car stuttering and nonchalantly pulled onto the convienient shell garage on my left, my passangers non the wiser.
Could have been embarassing!!
think you will find access to this if you lift the rear seat.
