Nothing Shankosi, I verified the exhaust pipe completely from the engine to the end, there are no O2 sensors on this vehicles Sad

IT's a bad news??????
No it's not bad news is that almost every car has a o2 sensor and it's extremely rare for one not to have one, It's a key component for Emissions control systems.
ever since Matiz was made, it was given an engine with fuel injectors and those need O2 sensors.

Unless your Matiz has a carburetter !
No my matiz use fuel injector system......

OK - I believe you Surrender

My best guess, is that the ECM in your Matiz is set to a specific air/fuel ratio that never changes. May be they did this to make the car more economical and do not require expensive repair parts such as and O2 sensor.

are you able to get a picture here of your exhaust pipe, without O2 Sensor.

I think this needs to be documented because this is rare.

do you have other mates who own a Matiz with same construction??

Thnx...

To my knowledge there is one O2 sensor next to the Front Flange of the sliencer joint ,but is part of the engine body ...its somewhere near the tip..has holes in it with a wire extension...

So in short its not on the silencer to my knowledge...
this is a photo of the O2 sensor you should have:

do you see the red arrow pointing to the O2 sensor?

you must have one of these. Right?
Yup thats the one...BTW..how many wires does the matiz o2 sensor come with...i called a local parts guy and he said...do u want a single wire double wire or 4 wire o2 sensor...i just thought id change mine...

4 wires - 100% sure - its called "preheated O2 sensor"

My MIL isnt flashing yet...but the car in general is suffering from serious power loss..Iv changed the HT leads, spark plugs..fuel pump etc..thought id change the o2 sensor and check too...

Its done 114000kms ...

I suppose you are spending a lot of INR, so you better check the car with a scan device available at reputable garages and see what fault codes you will find and fix the problem accordingly.

don't just go replacing good parts for no good reason!

I did a blink code test..reset the ecu recently...but ntg really comes up...somewhere on youtube i saw a video which stated that a weak/lazy o2 sensor would not work...and since it wasnt bad it would show a fault code...
