Hey all...
I am on matiz number two.. I love it soo much and have the SE model without any central locking. Being dippy as i am locking the car with the buttons i have managed to lock my keys inside my car soo many times.
Looking at ordering a central locking kit off ebay.. does anyone have any experience with these?
Are they relatively easy to fit? Does anybody know how?
Any help appreciated
Cheers SmileStar
i fitted one to my se + yesterday and it wasnt hard but i already had central locking from the key all my doors work apart from the drivers which iv goto get a new actuator for i can give you a heads up on how hard it is to fit the actuator once my new one arives
if you are starting from square one - I can tell that it is not an easy job to fit an after-market system in Matiz as it includes too many wires and will require splicing important ones too (ignition key, ignition coil, turn flashers, ... etc). also you will have to be under the dash most of the time (tight, dark and kreepy ......)

better leave this one for a professional.

but if you are any good, determined and have the time in your hands to do it in one shot - then go for it.

better prepare a frozen six-pack for this job... Biggrin

good luck.
I have the time to get it done and dusted.. And i want to do a good job on it.. looks very fiddly though!
Wouldnt even be sure how to get under the dash!
Might order it and wait for a nice day to come along..
Cheers guys! Smile
