I left my car key in the ignition in a moment of stupidity, and locked the door by hand, i just need to open the door but i have no spare key.
the garage says it will cost £100 for a new key but i will need to take the car to the garage for the security code to be configured, that means i also have to pay to tow the car to the garage.
anyone know if its possible to open the door another way or just get the key without the security code.
appreciate any help

I had a similar problem. Nearby there was a drycleaners, I asked for a metal coathanger and you can guess the rest. 15 Seconds later I was in. But trust me, thats got nothing to do with it being a 'Matiz' - most cars for the masses can be entered in the same way.
Would be interested to know how to get in to my matiz in 10 seconds? lol..
I almost locked my keys in the other day, i do not have a spare key as we got broken into, front door kicked in etc for other cars we own, but they just grabbed the matiz keys and ran.. so no spare key.
Would be nice to know how to get in just incase i ever do lock them in!

Can anyone reply to me on this? as my car is outside running now with the keys in it, the lock bit inside insnt all the way pushed down? it is freezing out could the cold have done it????

oh no unlucky, i got a spare, i too would like to know that quick way in.
This guiden only for realy need solved the problem. Open the front right wheel mudguard cover (hard plastic) and pull a black cable which this will open your front bonnet and disconnect the battery terminal, this will open your door lock.
I keep a spare in my wallet all the time. just the metal bit and sawed off the plastic nub. did need it in a couple of occasions, because my security system locks everything automatically if left unattended for 30sec.
can I have the PM for this please...i too would like to know how to get in as i have only the ONE KEY.
For those who only have one key, why not just get another cut and keep in a safe place. Then it will only be used in emergencies. If your not aware of how to get into a car using mentioned items then its not something you look into IMO.

i got a spair cut at a random key shop for £8 thay also had a green key to match my car
granted it wont start the engin but will open the doors thankfully iv fitted remote centrol locking now so i dont have this problem i too can confurm thair easy to get into if you know how after haveing to do it numeros times on my own
