I have a 2002 matiz. It intermittantly wont start-loses spark and also loses the switching at the injectors. No set pattern-does it hot or cold.
I thought poss immobiliser fault but the fuel pump still primes when ignition is switched on. The security light flashes with key out but is on when cranking-could it be this? Tried 2 keys.
Im thinking because the fuel pump is live its probably not the immob.
Im going to fit a crank sensor today but im pretty unsure this will fix it.
Anybody have any info or even an engine loom wiring diagram so i can check all feeds and earths and is the ECU controlled by a relay? If so where is it located?Ive also checked earth underneath near starter.
Many thanks for any help.....karl
Update!!!!

Its the immobiliser! The Launch machine finally started to communicate and brought up two faults with it. I was thinkin of just getting another immob unit,a reader coil and a key from a scrappy and just taping the key up under the column somewhere or does it have to be coded to the engine ECU as well?
It has to be mated with ECU_also there is a five key codes storage limit.
